From the warehouse to the street corner
Every day, ANE Foundation volunteers sort donations, pack meal trays, load vans, and show up where the need is greatest — resource fairs, school giveaways, and encampment outreach across Los Angeles.
Understanding the crisis
What is homelessness?
Homelessness in Los Angeles is not a single story — it is job insecurity, medical bills, and an affordable housing shortage colliding with real lives.
The scale
75,000+ people are unhoused nightly in LA County (2024 data), and families with children make up roughly 20% of that population.
The causes
Lack of affordable housing, job insecurity, and medical bills remain the leading drivers of crisis in our city.

What types of donations are accepted?
Only new items: toiletries, clothing (all ages), shoes, towels, bedding, and household essentials. In-person donations are accepted Monday through Thursday, 10 AM–3 PM. No used items, please.
Do you accept money donations?
Yes — securely online through PayPal or Square, or in person during donation hours. Every dollar goes directly toward meals, essentials, and programs for our neighbors in need.
Can I volunteer?
Absolutely. Volunteers power every warehouse sort, giveaway, meal service, and outreach day. Register through our volunteer page and our team will follow up with upcoming opportunities.
Where does my donation go?
Donations stock our warehouse, fund youth and family programs, and supply monthly giveaways and emergency response efforts across Los Angeles.
